Well, I spent the weekend with my Jillian in Virginia. We ate lunch outside, which was beautiful. I picked up a lawn chair last week, so I'm hoping that soon we'll get a break in the weather and I can grade outside also. I'm not sure though. It looks like it might stay just a little on the chilly side this week again. Gr...spring has got to come eventually. I don't want it to get hot because I am mindful that my house is not air conditioned, but I am eagerly awaiting for weather warm enough to start sitting outside in.
We also went shopping, encountered the most cranky dressing room attendant EVER, and watched Hancock. Everyone ripped on the movie, but I thought it was pretty good. You wind up laughing a little, and it has a plot line to follow. Not an in-depth plot line, but a plot line.
So, now I'm back at home, typing this quick note, and taking a deep breath before starting into the 3 week countdown to the end of classes for this semester.

Ahhh, glorious semesters! We've only just begun Spring quarter here a couple of weeks ago. I've got to make it to mid June before the end has come!
No a/c in your home? Uh-oh. I hope you at least have a window a/c in a room--or two--where you can escape when the heat gets really miserable.
@bigdollyfan - Ugh...I would not want to be on a quarter system in any way, shape, or form. When does Ohio transfer to the semester system?
And, yes, I do have window air conditioners. Right now, I have one for the living room, and I plan to put one in the attic just to keep it from becoming an absolute oven since it's finished off, and I don't want the stuff up there being ruined by heat. I don't have one for the bedroom, but if it gets miserable, I can invest in one. I just hate window air conditioners. Even though mine are the new kind with thermostats on them, it seems hard to reach a good temp. I'm always freezing after I get them started. They are so noisy too. Oh well, you are right though. When it truly gets miserable, I do like the option of being able to fire them up.
@lindyblue - We're beginning the monumental task of converting now. We'll officially make the change Fall 2012. It's so much work, though, because it involved re-inventing every course and curriculum.
At my parent's house, I have a window a/c in my bedroom b/c we don't have central air upstairs. So, I know what you mean about getting the temp "just right." Where is Goldilocks when we need her?
This is the funniest thing. Aaron and I were talking about bad customer service in stores tonight, and I made a comment about how so many fitting room workers are in bad moods. Seriously, the last few times I have gone shopping and wanted to try something on, the fitting room workers have been especially cranky. No smiles. No "Can I get you a different size?" No "How's things coming in there?" No "I can take that for you." How ironic!
